Application Support and Implementation Consultant

This role combines hands-on application support with implementation and consultancy responsibilities for post-trade technology deployments, acting as the primary point of contact for customer issues while also supporting project delivery and process improvement.

Job Responsibilities

Application Support

Log and report all customer issues, including product-related and technical problems.
Monitor progress of all logged cases to ensure timely resolution within agreed service levels.
Escalate serious customer issues to the Support Manager.
Provide hands-on troubleshooting and issue replication.
Act as the first point of contact for all support inquiries.
Maintain full awareness of the status of all calls assigned to the Support Desk.
Coordinate with the Development Team to schedule customer-specific UAT prior to software delivery.
Support version upgrades and patch deployments for customers.
Participate in on-call rotation for after-hours support.

Implementation & Consultancy

Provide implementation consulting for customer projects.
Work closely with customers to understand how they use the system and identify operational gaps.
Recommend solutions such as new modules, enhancements, or process changes.
Collaborate with the Project Manager to ensure clarity in consultant responsibilities.
Compile and publish customer and management reports on a periodic basis.
Assist Business Analysts in documenting high-level requirements for enhancements.
Review analysis, design, and test plans produced by the Product Centre.

Required Skills & Qualifications

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering.

Technical Skills

SQL
Oracle Database
Stored Procedures
Unix environment

Domain Knowledge

Stock Broking operations (Trade & Settlement workflows) — Mandatory
Investment Banking, Capital Markets, Post-Trade, or Financial Services

Core Competencies

Strong analytical skills and high attention to detail.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with multiple internal and external stakeholders.
