Malaysia's Post-Trade Platform | Bursa-Connected & Shariah Ready

Malaysia

More Change. Same Headcount.

BTS3. E-invoicing. Fractional trading. Shariah. T+1. Malaysia’s sell-side operating model is getting more complex. Your back office doesn’t have to. NOVA CMX brings the operational change programmes onto one lifecycle engine – helping Malaysian brokers increase STP, control cost and absorb growth without adding operational headcount. Over 15% of daily Bursa volumes are processed on NOVA platforms.

Ready for this market

Built for Malaysian market structure.

Bursa and CDS connected

Live connectivity to Malaysia’s clearing and settlement infrastructure, with FIX and ISO 20022 messaging in production.

Shariah in the core

Configurable rule engines and segregated account structures, proven with the first Shariah-compliant foreign broker in Malaysia.

MyInvois e-invoicing

Brokerage fees, commissions and charges issued as validated e-invoices from the same record as the trade.

Fractional and odd-lot capable

Fractional trade capture, allocation and settlement supported natively - no parallel process for sub-board-lot flow.

Already covered

Four programmes, one operations team.

BTS3

Working directly with Bursa

NOVA is engaged with Bursa Malaysia on BTS3 readiness, so participating organisations inherit conformance. Multi-asset flow and standards-based messaging are already how the platform operates.

E-invoicing

Module live with Malaysian clients

NOVA’s e-invoicing module is in production with most of our Malaysian client base. Brokerage fees, commissions and charges are issued as validated e-invoices from the same record as the trade, including the RM10,000 individual-invoice rule.

Fractional

Fractional settlement handled natively

Fractional trade capture, allocation and settlement run inside the standard lifecycle. Sub-board-lot flow multiplies ticket counts without multiplying operations work or requiring a parallel process.

T+1

Already settling T+1 in production

Singapore clients settle their US holdings on T+1 on NOVA today, with the same affirmation, FX funding and reconciliation cut-offs Malaysian firms face on offshore lines. Nothing to build when Bursa moves.

Shariah, built in

One platform for both books of business.

Islamic and conventional flow on the same lifecycle engine, with Shariah logic in configuration rather than in a parallel process.

Bolt-on Shariah handling

Compliance checks performed outside the core system
Separate account structures reconciled by hand
Limited auditability for the Shariah board
Two operating models, two teams

On NOVA CMX

Configurable rule engines enforce Shariah requirements at capture
Client, house and trust accounts segregated in the platform
Fully auditable workflows and evidence for the Shariah board
One operating model, straight-through end to end
